Dr. Veena Vishwakarma graduated with a M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Kurukshetra University in Kurukshetra in 2015. In year 2014, she received a training in “in vitro embryo development” and molecular biology procedures from the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) in Karnal. She was awarded Ph.D. in Biotechnology (2021) from Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. During her Ph.D. she worked on the research entitled “In vitro studies on chemopreventive effects of silymarin and andrographolide against nickel induced genotoxicity in cultured human cells”. In 2017 she was awarded Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board- National Eligibility Test (ASRB-NET) certificate. She has published many research papers in reputed journals. Her area of specialization and research interests includes animal cell culturing, molecular biology, genotoxicity, toxicology, oxidative stress and chemopreventive studies.
