The focus of applied psychology will be on enhancing mental health awareness, developing a better person-environment fit and building resilience for effective coping and promoting well-being & better quality of life. The students can engage with research centres and also work with eminent NGOs.
Clinical Psychology focuses on equipping the students with professional skills and seamlessly apply the theoretical knowledge. The students will be equipped with skills of assessment, diagnosis, counselling and therapeutic interventions in clinical situations. The students can get to associated with hospitals and clinical sets.
Counselling psychology specialization will focus on equipping the learners to be able to apply the knowledge and skills of assessment, diagnosis, counselling and therapeutic interventions for varied counselling settings. Counselling today is an essential part of well-being and they can take up professional role of counsellors in corporates as well. They can get into advocacy of health and well-being.
Criminal psychology specialization focuses on studying the human behaviour in criminal domain. The focus will be understanding and enabling behavioural change and acceptance in the society. The students can work with rehabilitation centres and prisons for well-being of inmates and integrating the convicts back to normalcy.
Rehabilitation psychology will focus on studying the broad spectrum of disabilities being physical and psychological. The idea is to enable individual and family to better integrate in the society and enabling change and rehabilitation in the society. The students will be able to work with different age groups that need rehabilitation.

- For BA (Hons) Psychology, candidates are generally required to have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate score of 50%
- For BSc (Hons) Clinical psychology, similar to the BA (Hons) in Psychology, candidates usually need to have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board or institution attaining a minimum aggregate score of 50%
The BA (HONS) Psychology and BSc. Clinical Psychology programme at IILM University follows a well-crafted course structure that provides students with a holistic understanding of psychology and its applications. The curriculum is constantly updated to ensure that students are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills required to excel as per the contemporary challenges and needs of the changing environment.
The duration of the UG programme is 4 years or 8 semesters. Students who desire to undergo a 3-year UG Programme will be allowed to exit after completion of the 3rd year. If a student wants to leave after the completion of the first or second year, the student will be given a UG Certificate or UG Diploma, respectively, provided they secure the prescribed number of credits. Students who exit with a UG certificate or UG diploma are permitted to re-enter within three years and complete the degree programme.
