BA (Honors) Psychology
ELIGIBILITY: 10+2 level from any recognized board in India or Overseas
B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology aims at offering a general framework focussing on fundamentals of psychology, research methodology and other discipline specific courses within which teaching, practical’s are organized. It serves twin goals of responding to the needs of students to grow as competent, self-reflective learners with relevant academic and professional skills preparing them as contributors to the growing discipline of psychology.
To achieve the aim of undergraduate program in psychology Core (Foundational) Courses and Electives (Psychology specific) are envisaged. This course is designed to promote a common educational edifice for the discipline, introducing to the fundamental principles of psychology and to the major subjects of psychological inquiry. It has been designed to provide students with the tools necessary for the study of psychology as well as with a sampling of the major areas of psychological research. Focus is on well-substantiated research and current trends in teaching. They are essential as they provide foundational knowledge and enable the students to take up more specialized courses of their choice. Care is taken to bring in the elements of skill to enhance employment opportunities through our placement cell.
