Dr. Puneet Sharma holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and has an impressive 19 years of research and teaching experience. His research primarily focuses of magnetic materials primarily of magnetic ferrites, magnetoelectric materials and thin films. Dr. Sharma served 15 years at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology and held various academic positions. He also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the State University of Maringa, Brazil, and the National Taiwan University in Taiwan. Dr. Sharma’s research contributions are notable, with more than 65 publications in SCI journals, an H-index of 17, and over 1000 citations on Scopus. He successfully completed five research projects from different government funding agencies (DST, DRDO, CSIR, UGC) with a total value of 1.5 Crores. His commitment to education is evident through the supervision of 9 doctoral students and 23 master’s students. Dr. Sharma is an executive member of the Magnetic Society of India and life member of various professional societies.
