Mr. Arsh Islam is an Assistant Professor (Psychology) in School of Liberal Arts & Humanities, at IILM University, Greater Noida. Arsh Islam received his BA in Psychology in 2016 and his MA in Applied Psychology in 2018 from Jamia Millia Islamia. He had the opportunity to represent Jamia Millia Islamia through participating in the Initiative for Mental Health Awareness India (IMHAI, 2015-16) against the stigma attached to mental illness and social challenges, led by the then HRD minister, Mrs. Smrii Irani. During his master’s degree he specialized in Counselling Psychology and conducted research on the Phenomenology of Sense of Control and its Impact on Mental Health. In his four years of work experience, along with his research and university teaching experience at Daulat Ram College (North Campus, University of Delhi), Ramanujan College (South Campus, University of Delhi) and Amity University (Sec-125, Noida), he has been trained by Meta as a Well-being and Resilience Coach during his role as a mental health professional at Accenture, Malaysia. He has worked in the area of Public Health in his last role as a research analyst at the Institute of Economic Growth and his doctoral research is in the area of Health Psychology.
