Dr. Arvind Kumar Jain
PROF & DEAN of Student Welfare (additional charge dean research)

Prof. (Dr.) Arvind Kumar Jain has joined as Professor of Chemistry in School of Basic and Applied Sciences and Dean of Student Welfare at IILM University, Greater Noida. His research interests span Photochemistry, Nanomaterials Synthesis, Organic Synthesis, and Analytical Chemistry. Dr. Jain completed his MPhil and PhD in Chemistry at IIT Roorkee and pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at ICMCB – CNRS in Bordeaux, France (2002-2003).

With a distinguished career in academia, Dr. Jain has guided eight PhD students, published over 50 papers in international journals, and holds 11 patents. He has also edited three books with international publishers. His contributions to research have been recognized through numerous international travel grants, including from NSF-USA, enabling him to visit Arizona, USA (2011), Darmstadt, Germany (2010) and the University of Twente, Netherlands (2008).

Dr. Jain secured a research grant of ₹36,90,000 from DST-GOI for a project on semiconductor nanostructures for sensing applications and currently mentors several ongoing PhD projects.

With over 23 years of experience in academic leadership, Dr. Jain excels in managing faculty, establishing industry partnerships, and overseeing multiple departments. He is adept at implementing innovative teaching strategies and contributing to academic research. His proficiency in developing policies, mentoring students, and collaborating with academic committees underscores his commitment to driving educational excellence. Prof. Jain’s extensive experience and dedication make him a valuable asset to our university community.
