Career Development Center(CDC) acts as an interface between the students and the recruiters and is responsible for placement of final year students, providing internship opportunities and grooming the students of all batches. The Cell also conducts various training programs, workshops, seminars and webinars by industry experts, and regularly takes up various initiatives to develop students’ skills and impart knowledge and awareness in multiple areas.
CDC of IILM University is a professional body working towards maximizing student welfare. The team consists of a student body of individuals effortlessly working under a dedicated body of Placement Team/Teachers, to nurture and prepare students for their future careers and bring success and repute to the University. CDC communicates through both, online and offline modes, and caters to all students of the University.
- All the students, interested to appear for placement drives (on/off Campus) must be registered with Career Development Center (CDC).
- This is the responsibility of student to ensure that his/her data entered with CDC office is correct (all marks & percentage, backlog, Email ID, Contact No. etc).
- Before appearing for any placement drive, all the students need to ensure that they are meeting the required eligibility criteria of the company. If it is found that the student has given false information about his/her marks or backlog at the time of Campus Recruitment, He she can be debarred from present and all future recruitment drives.
- All announcements regarding CDC activities, schedules and other day to day notices will be sent via email to student placement coordinators, circulation of these notices among respective mail groups will be considered as an official mean of communication between CDC and the students. The students are advised to check their email and placement groups frequently for all CDC related updates.
- Once students shown interest for any campus recruitment drive later he/she cannot step back.
- Students are advised to strictly follow the schedule of the placement drives; students reporting late will be sent back and will not be allowed to attend the drive.
- Students are advised to be present at seminar Hall/Auditorium during the announcement of short listing for the next round, failing to do the same without prior information; the student will not be considered for the next round.
- Once the student has attended the first round and is shortlisted for further rounds, he/she is advised to appear for all the remaining rounds of recruitment process. Students found unavailable from the venue without prior information and permission will be considered as offender and a strict disciplinary will be taken.
- Students are advised to maintain the highest level of decorum and discipline during on/off campus placement activities, if any student is found causing indiscipline or misbehaving with Company staff/CDC

Focus areas are providing guidance, counseling and bringing students and potential employers together to acheive the best possible placement depending on the market conditions .The department looks after the interest of the students and the employers by providing them the necessary platform.
Each student has to undergo 235 hours of rigorous training, starting from the Day 1 as soon as they enter the campus, the training module has been divided into 4 different sections.
- Quantitative Aptitude for skill Development:
The first thing recruiter assess in candidates is basic aptitudes in terms of quantitative, reasoning and verbal ability. We have analyzed the past recruitment aptitude test papers of many reputed companies and based on that the syllabi of courses are prepared. In these courses, students will learn Fast Calculation, Arithmetic Concepts, Logical Reasoning, and Data Management Skills.
- Verbal Ability for skill Enhancement:
The course of verbal ability is designed to help them perform better in competitive examinations and in CRT (campus recruitment test). The course comprises of lessons and practice sessions on communicative English and English aptitude, focusing on grammar, pronunciation and writing skills wherein the students utilize their language skills in the various modes of communication.
- Soft Skills for Expertness:
These courses are designed in such a way that on completion of these courses, any professional will be able to manage all aspects related to self, work and others. The curriculum will focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and also include group discussions, mock interviews, mother tongue influence which again is imperative to succeed and will help in making them Employable.
- Technical Trainings:
The courses of technical training are designed in such a way that on completion of these courses, any professional will be able to crack the campus recruitment test specially the written test of the recruitment process. There will an emphasis on mcq’s from their respective domain related courses and the problem-solving skills which again is important to succeed and will help in making them industry ready.

The company specific trainings are tailored to meet the requirement of specific company; the main aim is to guide students on the job specific technical proficiency, soft skills development, role specific challenges.
