Dr. Kamal Kant Verma is a Professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, IILM University. With over 18.5 years of teaching and research experience, he has worked various reputed universities, including Lovely Professional University Phagwara, COER University Roorkee, VIT Bhopal University, Quantum University Roorkee, and Vidya College of Engineering Meerut. He specializes in Bloom’s taxonomy, teaching pedagogy, curriculum development, and student mentoring, having served as DRC Chairperson, Academic Council member, and member of NAAC committees.
Dr. Verma earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, along with an M.Tech in CSE and a B.Tech in IT. He has published 36+ research papers in reputed journals and conferences, including SCI/SCIE and Scopus-indexed publications, authored two books (one funded by Training and Learning bureau, Ministry of Education, AICTE New Delhi), and filed 8+ patents. His research interests include Video and Image Processing, Deep Learning, Human Activity Recognition, Gesture Recognition, EEG Signal Classification, and Autonomous Driving Detection etc.
He has supervised 8+ M.Tech scholars and is currently guiding 6 Ph.D. scholars on cutting-edge topics. An active member of IEEE, CSI, and ISTE, Dr. Verma has attended numerous FDPs at IITs/NITs/NITTTR and has organized several academic courses during his career.
