The Department of Biotechnology features comprehensive laboratory facilities for Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Plant Tissue Culture, Fermentation, and Bioinformatics. These labs are equipped with cutting-edge instruments including thermal cyclers (PCR), ELISA readers, UV-Visible spectrophotometers, ultra-low freezers, fermenters, laminar flow cabinets, and simulation chambers, enabling students and researchers to undertake rigorous experimental work across diverse biotechnological domains.
A significant milestone in research infrastructure is the Centre for Precision and Smart Agriculture (CPS-Lab) established in collaboration with iHub-AWaDH, IIT Ropar, which promotes cutting-edge research in precision farming using AI, IoT, and drone technologies.
The School of Engineering hosts an advanced Drone and 3D Printing Laboratory with industry-standard drone kits, industrial-grade 3D printers, and a PCB fabrication unit equipped with photoresist systems, etching machines, and precision drilling tools. These facilities support cross-disciplinary research in electronics, automation, UAV design, and smart manufacturing.
These facilities are supported by highly qualified faculty members with academic credentials from premier institutions and substantial research experience. Faculty members are actively engaged in mentoring research projects, publishing in reputed journals, and participating in interdisciplinary collaborations, thereby enriching the University’s research culture.
