Sumit Das brings over three decades of rich corporate experience to his current role as Professor of Practice at the School of Management, IILM University, a position he has held since July 2025. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta, an MBA from the University of Allahabad, and an Executive Master’s in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi. He has also completed the prestigious Global Leadership Programme on Leading People and Business in the Digital Era at INSEAD, strengthening his capabilities in global leadership and digital transformation.
Before transitioning to academia, he held senior leadership roles across diverse industries, culminating in his position as Senior Vice President and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Head – Nutrition at Jubilant Ingrevia Limited. In this role, he independently managed a global business with full P&L responsibility, led multinational teams, and travelled to more than 60 countries for business development and strategic initiatives.
His professional expertise spans Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and International Business, with a strong track record in driving growth, building global partnerships, and leading high-performance teams.
