Dr. Urvashi A. Joshi is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as an In –charge HoD and Deputy HoD, Department of Cyber Security, Associate Professor in School of Computer Science and Engineering at IILM University, Greater Noida. She earned her Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jaipur, specializing in Clustering Algorithms Based on Social Spider Optimization for Hyperspectral Image Analysis.
With over seven years of academic and research experience across esteemed institutions such as NIT Jaipur, NIT Surat, SKIT Jaipur, and Banasthali Vidyapith, Dr. Joshi has developed strong expertise in machine learning, optimization, hyperspectral image analysis, and biomedical signal processing.
She has published extensively, including two IEEE Transactions papers, several Elsevier and Springer publications, two authored books, and multiple book chapters and conference articles. Her active research pursuits have attracted over ₹60 lakh in funded projects from DST, MeitY, MSME, and CSIR, and she holds two patents in healthcare and agricultural technology domains.
Dr. Joshi has received accolades such as the GTU Rising Star Award (2025) and serves as an IEEE WIE member, ACM member, and Academic Lead for IEEE ACIE. She is passionate about bridging research and real-world innovation through interdisciplinary collaborations.
