Dr. Pallavi Mohanan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Liberal Arts, School of Humanities and Social Sciences at IILM University Greater Noida, specializing in ancient trade networks, cultural exchange, and digital heritage studies. With a Ph.D. from Amity Institute of Social Sciences, a Master39;s in History, and a Bronze Medal-winning B.A. (Hons.) in History, she brings an interdisciplinary approach to understanding ancient globalization. Her doctoral research, "Globalisation in Ancient World: A Study of Trade Relations between Ancient India and Egypt," demonstrates that globalization has deep historical roots. Through analysing linguistic borrowings, material culture, and maritime commerce between the 3rd millennium BCE and the 3rd century CE, Dr. Pallavi reveals how merchants, priests, and rulers functioned as agents of cultural transmission, creating cosmopolitan port cities and facilitating cross-civilizational exchange. Dr. Pallavi's scholarship integrates archaeological remote sensing, digital humanities, and heritage management to address contemporary preservation challenges.
