Dr. Jaya Bisht is an Assistant Professor in the School of Sciences at IILM University, Greater Noida. She completed her Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal (Central) University, Uttarakhand, in 2018. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, in 2023. Her doctoral research focused on solving optimization problems using generalized convexity.
Dr. Bisht qualified the CSIR-NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2019 and also qualified GATE in Mathematics in 2018. She has been awarded the prestigious DST-INSPIRE Scholarship for Master and DST-INSPIRE Fellowship for Ph.D. by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Dr. Bisht has contributed to the field of optimization and numerical methods through research publications and academic engagements. She has published fourth teen research papers in the reputed peer reviewed journals out of which 9 SCI, 2 ESCI, and 3 SCOPOUS are indexed. She has published a book entitled “Integral Inequalities and Generalized Convexity’ in Chapman and Hall/CRC, Taylor & Francis Group. Her teaching interests lie in pure and applied mathematics, including Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Differential Equations, and Mathematical Optimization.
At IILM University, Dr. Bisht is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum development and research activities. She also has a strong interest in academic writing and interdisciplinary research.
