Dr. Fouzia Alsabah Shaikh
Dr. Fouzia A. Shaikh is Associate Professor at School of Liberal Arts at IILM University, Greater Noida, specializing in psychology through teaching, research, and consultancy. She has previously contributed to esteemed higher education institutions like Amity University Haryana, Amity University Jaipur, and Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
She received her Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from the University of Calcutta in 2011 and was recipient of Junior and Senior Research Fellowships at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, from 2006 to 2011.
Dr. Shaikh actively engages in curriculum development and serves on important advisory committees for students’ psychological and career counselling. She has delivered keynote addresses at platforms such as Freie University, Berlin, and Fortis Hospital and Tech Mahindra. Beyond academia, she is a certified art therapist and hypnotherapy practitioner and proactively advocates for inclusive education, earning the Microsoft Innovative Educator and Inclusive Educator Awards in 2021.
Dr Fouzia to her credit holds the expertise of engaging students from higher education in meaningful community outreach programs at Anganwadis in the promotion of art integrated early literacy and social emotional learning in school children and educators.
Her research interests include children's and women's well-being, mental health, and addiction studies.
