PressPsych Palooza 2024, held at IILM University, Greater Noida, was a dynamic five-day event celebrating the theme “Cultivating Happiness through the Lens of Media and Mind.” Organised by the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the festival brought together media professionals, mental health advocates, and students to explore the intersection of psychology and journalism. The event was sponsored by APS Judicial Academy and co-sponsored by Primus Publications and Pahuja Law Academy.

The festival opened with a vibrant inauguration, setting the tone for a series of engaging panel discussions, workshops, and performances. Thought-provoking panels covered topics such as the happiness myth, the rise of alternative media and its impact on public trust, digital personas, and the influence of Gen Z on politics and culture. Experts and industry leaders, including Mr Aaron Pereira, Mr Shivansh Mishra, Ms Anshuma Kshetrapal, Dr Nayan Mitra, Mr Manga Vaiphei, and Ms Varsha KV, shared insights on authentic happiness, the challenges of digital journalism, and the evolving relationship between identity and mental well-being.

Workshops, led by professionals such as author and critic Ms Kaveree Bamzai, focused on storytelling in film journalism, while sessions on rhythm therapy and dance by Ms Tanvi Bajaj highlighted the therapeutic power of art. Creative exercises, such as poster-making competitions and live art sessions with Ms Vrinda Gupta, added interactive dimensions to the event.

Cultural performances by Swaraag and Aarambh Dance Society, along with theatrical productions by Thespian Theatre Society, celebrated creativity and diversity. Food and craft stalls, alongside activities like the Happiness Walk, infused vibrancy into the festivities.

Press Psych Palooza 2024 blended intellectual exploration, cultural expression, and community engagement, creating a transformative experience.
