4 years (8 semesters) Mechanical Engineering Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University AICTE

In this engineering course, all the essential aspects are taught like the properties of material, working of ignition system, the combustion engine, the forces that work in a car crash, or the more basic knowledge of how and at what temperatures the various plastic materials should be put for moulding for the vehicle parts or how plastic absorbs impact and its behaviour in comparison with steel or fibre glass or even the characteristics of paint based on weather conditions.

The engineers are also taught the stages of production- how the different sub assemblies are manufactured, brought to the plant and assembled either by robots or humans, right up to final assembly when the vehicle is up and running and then tested for qualification.
